Everest Insurance has announced a joint initiative with the Center for Internet Security (CIS) to offer a premium discount on its new Everest Cyber Elevation Policy to eligible CIS SecureSuite members.

Everest LogoCIS is a non-profit entity that uses a global IT community to safeguard private and public organisations against cyber threats.

Over 1,600 organisations are currently members of CIS SecureSuite, which provides integrated cybersecurity resources to help businesses, nonprofits, government entities, and IT experts stay secure online.

“Since the launch of our Everest Cyber Elevation℠ Policy, Everest has focused on providing enhanced solutions to assist our insureds as they strive to strengthen their resiliency in the face of an evolving cyber threat landscape,” said Everest’s Cyber Insurance Practice Leader, Kevin Sherry.

He continued: “The CIS-CAT Pro configuration assessment tool and other components of the CIS SecureSuite™ membership are effective and powerful tools that help our insureds address some of their most common cyber security threats.”

Brig. Gen., USAF (Ret.) Steve Spano, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at CIS, also commented: “Everest Insurance® deserves credit as the first major insurance carrier to offer a discount for using the CIS® Critical Controls™ and CIS CAT Pro.

“Everest customers with a CIS SecureSuite™ Membership can be confident knowing they have access to all of our configuration guidance. This new joint initiative will enable Everest to help their clients start secure and stay secure.”

Insured SecureSuite members will also receive Everest’s Risk Improvement Services coverage, which reimburses them for additional proactive risk mitigation measures taken during the policy period.
