Bermuda domiciled insurer and reinsurer, Everest Re Group, Ltd., has appointed Michael Karmilowicz as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Everest Insurance Division, effective immediately.
Karmilowicz has been with Everest Insurance since 2015, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and President of North America P&C.
He brings almost three decades of experience to the role, having worked in roles of increasing responsibility across both management and underwriting at carriers including Zurich and The Hartford.
At the same time, Everest Re has announced that Michael Mulray, Everest Insurance’s Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), has been named the Everest Insurance Division Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately.
Mulray has served as CUO of the Everest Insurance Division since joining the company in May of 2015. Before Everest, he worked at General Electric Company, where he spent ten years in numerous risk and insurance leadership roles. He started his career in the insurance industry with brokerage Aon, holding numerous roles in both the U.S. and Bermuda markets.
