Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance arm of Everest Group, has announced the promotion of Emily Davis to Global Head of Engineering, based in London.
In her new role, Davis’ remit will include overseeing the strategic growth of the business line globally.
Her responsibilities will ensure consistency in the company’s approach and implementing underwriting efficiencies across the division.
Davis joined the company three years ago and during that time she has been instrumental to the engineering portfolio’s exponential growth and positioning of Everest as an engineering lead market.
The re/insurer said that her proven leadership and strong client and broker relationships make her the ideal fit for the new role.
She began her career at broker Aon as an actuarial analyst, before joining reinsurer TransRe in 2013 and becoming a non-marine treaty underwriter.
Davis joined Everest Re in 2020, first as a Engineering and Construction underwiter, then moving to a role focused on short-tail treaty reinsurance, before taking on this new challenge at the company this month.
