Everest Insurance, a division of Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Everest Re Group, Ltd., has announced plans to offer an online Lawyers’ Professional Liability program via a new partnership with insurance brokerage, Embroker.

The new online program is for law firms with up to ten employed attorneys, and, through Embroker’s digitized platform, Everest Insurance’s Lawyers’ Professional Liability policy offers numerous value added coverage enhancements.

Currently, the protection is available in 31 states across the U.S. and it will look to be expanded further throughout 2020.

Everest Insurance notes that the addition of this program both expands and compliments its existing Lawyers’ Professional Liability offering for larger firms, and is a reflection of the insurer’s commitment to expansion in certain target markets.

Brian Drum, Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Everest Underwriting Partners, commented: “This product helps cover the wide-ranging risks that smaller law firms encounter. We are very excited to offer this coverage through Embroker, utilizing their expertise and unique digitization capabilities in the marketplace to better serve our smaller law firm policyholders, maximizing the efficiency of their professional liability insurance buying experience.”
