Farmers Insurance hires its new Chief Risk Officer

Farmers Insurance has appointed Christian Vink to the role of Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

farmers-insurance-logoA well known veteran across the industry, Vink brings more than two decades of experience towards his new role.

He joins Farmers Insurance after spending over a decade working at Zurich, where he most recently served as Head of Business Performance Management. Within the role, he was responsible for IFRS 17 business performance development, as well as portfolio profitability analysis (Life and GI), Driver Based Planning, and analysing and reporting on financial actuals and forecast within Zurich.

In addition, throughout his tenure at Zurich, Vink also held the role of Head of Strategic Finance, Global Life, as well as Global Life Risk Manager.

Prior to joining Zurich, Vink spent just over two years working at ING Luxembourg. During his time at the firm, he held the role of Chief Insurance Risk Officer, and Chief Risk Officer, and was also a member of ING’s Life Luxembourg management team.

Moreover, Vink also previously worked at international financial services firm NN, where he served in a number of different roles, including Manager Reinsurance Account Management and Senior Actuary.
