Farmers Insurance has appointed re/insurance broker Gallagher’s Erik Toohey as the Head of Agency Owner Operations, reporting to Ken Walton, President of Distribution and Chief Revenue Officer.
In the new role, Toohey will be responsible for the overall strategy of the Exclusive Agent Distribution channel, modernising processes and evolving capabilities while supporting the immediate achievement of territory results.
His additional responsibilities include partnering with the Regional Presidents to achieve individual territory strategies through efficient centralised services.
Toohey joins Farmers from Gallagher, where he served as Corporate Vice President of US Finance responsible for the overall strategic planning and financial management of a $2.5 billion segment.
In the past, he has held key leadership positions with Kemper, Berkley One, Travelers, and Cigna demonstrating leadership in distribution management, financial management, strategic planning, and operational oversight.
