Specialty re/insurer Fidelis has announced the appointment of Samantha Message to its underwriting team in London.
Upon taking up her new role, Message will be underwriting Energy and Construction business at Fidelis.
She brings more than 10 years of re/insurance industry and related experience in underwriting and client facing roles, focusing on a several classes of business including marine, energy, construction and engineering as well as catastrophe risk management.
Previous roles include Senior Account Manager at catastrophe modelling firm RMS, as well as Underwriter positions at Ascot Underwriting Ltd. and HSB Engineering Insurance, a subsidiary of Munich Re.
Prior to this, Message spent three years as an Underwriting Assistant at XL Catlin, following two years as an Exam Scrutineer and Assistant Examiner at the Chartered Insurance Institute.
She began her career in 2006 as an Account Executive at Walbrook Investor Relations.
