Fidelis Insurance Holdings Limited, the Bermuda-domiciled re/insurer, has promoted Shane O’Donovan as Group Chief Actuary.
In his new role, O’Donovan will continue to report to Jonny Strickle, Group Managing Director, who continues to oversee the actuarial function of the Group.
Additionally, he will now oversee actuarial capabilities globally, be responsible for optimising the allocation, and deployment of capital across underwriting partners and opportunities to support long-term strategic objectives.
Currently, O’Donovan serves as the Ireland Head of Actuarial Function, responsible for leading Fidelis Insurance Group’s actuarial strategy and strengthening the enterprise-wide risk framework.
He has over 15 years of actuarial experience and has served in his current role since 2020, based in Dublin.
Strickle commented on the appointment, “I am delighted to announce Shane’s well-deserved promotion to Group Chief Actuary. This promotion recognises Shane’s significant contributions over the past five years, not only within the actuarial function but also across the broader business.
