Fidelis MGU, the Bermuda-based Managing General Underwriter, has promoted Simon Crone to Group Director of Underwriting, a role he will take up alongside his existing position as EEA Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
An experienced veteran across the insurance sector, Crone joined Fidelis in 2019, taking on the role of a Senior Underwriter.
In 2021, he was then named Head of Partnership Underwriting.
Prior to joining the company, Crone briefly worked at Aware Specialty Limited, serving as the firm’s CUO.
Before that, he spent over two years working at Mortgage & Credit, AmTrust International, serving as the firm’s CUO.
In addition, he also spent over eight years at Genworth Financial Europe, where he served as Operations Director for two years, and Vice President, Commercial for six years.
