First Eagle Investments hires Katie Cowan as Head of Insurance Client Solutions

First Eagle Investments, an independent, privately owned investment management firm headquartered in New York, has appointed Katie Cowan to the role of Head of Insurance Client Solutions.

first-eagle-investmentsIn this newly created role, Cowan is set to lead First Eagle’s efforts in the insurance channel.

She will be working closely with the firm’s investment teams as well as other areas across the business to deliver strategic solutions customized to the unique needs of these investors.

Cowan joined First Eagle on November 3, 2023, and she reports to President and Chief Executive Officer Mehdi Mahmud.

She joined First Eagle following a 10 year stint at Guggenheim Investments, where she previously managed the firm’s third-party insurance client relationships.

In addition, Cowan previously worked in the global markets division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and in leveraged finance at The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Cowan, addressed her new role: “Given its wide range of differentiated investment solutions and a commitment to the prudent stewardship of client assets, First Eagle represents an attractive value proposition for insurers. The company’s investment capabilities include equity, fixed income, alternative credit and multi-asset strategies.
