FM, a commercial property insurer, has appointed Randy Hodge as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective December 1, 2024.
Hodge will succeed Bret Ahnell, who is set to retire in March 2025. Ahnell joined the company in 1997 and has held various senior leadership roles, including serving as COO for the past three years.
An industry veteran, Hodge joined FM in 1990 and has since held several staff and operations roles, most recently as Executive Vice President, Staff Insurance Operations.
Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of FM, expressed enthusiasm for Hodge’s appointment, stating, “With Randy’s deep knowledge of FM and long track record of delivering industry-leading solutions and services to our clients, he is uniquely positioned to take on the COO role and help lead FM into the future.”
He added, “I would also like to extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude to Bret for his incredible 38 years of leadership with FM, especially his unwavering commitment to our clients and their success.”
