COGITANDA Dataprotect AG, a German provider of cyber risk management and insurance solutions, has announced the appointment of Ronan Gerety as Chief Insurance Officer (CIO), effective September 1st.
Gerety, who will also join COGITANDA’s Executive Board, was one of the founding directors of specialty insurer Catlin.
At Catlin, he was responsible for building up European business and supported the opening of 13 offices across nine European countries from 2004 until 2015, while also expanding relationships with brokers and driving the development of insurance products.
Gerety started his career at the Lloyd’s Market in London and with the Gerling Group, and joins COGITANDA from Liberty Specialty Markets, where he held the role of General Manager, with responsibility for Germany since 2018.
In his new Cologne-based role, Gerety will be primarily responsible for international growth and further development of COGITANDA’s offerings.
