Fortegra, the multinational specialty insurer, has appointed Bianca Hoshina as its Chief Reinsurance Buyer. She will be based out of Miami, Florida.
Hoshina is an experienced underwriter, who started her career in 1999 as a Business Analyst and Consultant at ZEFER Corporation.
Hoshina has expertise working in the re/insurance industry, in areas like broking, enterprise risk management, risk modeling, and underwriting.
She has worked closely with capital markets in transforming reinsurance risk into alternative asset products and was responsible for sourcing and building profitable portfolios of risk in her previous roles.
Most recently, Hoshina served as the Chief Reinsurance Officer of Centauri Insurance.
Previously, she held senior positions at Tokio Millennium Re in Bermuda, including Vice President, Reinsurance Manager at Tokio Solution Management, and Assistant Vice President.
Prior to that, she was AVP at RenaissanceRe, and also served as Assistant Underwriter, CAT modeling at Montpelier Reinsurance.
