The Fortegra Group, a global specialty insurer and part of DB Insurance Co., Ltd., has announced the appointment of Mark Rattner as President.
Rattner brings more than three decades of industry experience, including a decade in leadership roles at Fortegra, as well as long-standing relationships with key distribution partners.
He joined Fortegra in September 2016 and most recently served as Executive Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer, Insurance.
Prior to Fortegra, Rattner spent five years at Houston International Insurance Group, where he held a number of roles, most recently as Senior Vice President, during which he established the firm’s professional liability division.
Before that, he served as Chairman & CEO of Terrapin Capital Holdings. Rattner was also owner and director of Rattner Mackenzie Limited from 2005 to 2008, and Chairman & CEO of Professional Indemnity Agency, Inc., a subsidiary of HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc., from 2001 to 2005.
Earlier in his career, he served as President, CEO & Director of Professional Indemnity Agency, Inc., a subsidiary of Marshall Rattner, Inc., from 1991 to 2001.
