Transatlantic Holdings (TransRe), the reinsurance arm of Alleghany Corporation, has appointed Frieder Knüpling to the Supervisory Board of TransRe Europe SE.
Knüpling brings more than 25 years of industry experience, including extensive engagement with regulators and board experience across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.
Currently, he serves as a Senior Advisor for Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and was a member of SCOR’s Group Executive Committee for more than 14 years, where he led large multinational teams, initiated and successfully executed transformational change processes, and promoted disciplined and client-centric commercial approaches.
During his tenure at SCOR, Knüpling held various senior leadership roles, including serving as Group Chief Risk Officer and, most recently, CEO of SCOR L&H.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Knüpling said, “I am honored to have been appointed to the Supervisory Board of TransRe Europe SE. I sincerely appreciate the trust placed in me and look forward to working with my fellow board members and the management team to support the company’s continued success.”
