FuSure Reinsurance has successfully secured a long-term insurance authorisation (Class A and Class D) from the Hong Kong Insurance Authority (HKIA) and upgraded its existing General Insurance operations into a Composite License.

FuSure has reportedly established a core reinsurance business in the Greater China region since its inception in 2021. It focuses on reinsurance products with low-volatility personal risks, such as health and accident insurance.

According to FuSure, its upgrade to a Composite License marks a significant milestone in its expansion, establishing a strong foundation for future growth in global markets.

At the same time, the firm stated that its newly secured long-term insurance license from the HKIA highlights regulatory and industry recognition of its operational excellence and exceptional service capabilities.

FuSure suggested that it will proactively leverage Hong Kong’s unique strengths as an international financial hub to drive its global development strategy.

It also emphasised its commitment to serving as a strong bridge between the Chinese Mainland and international markets.

“By capitalising on the advantages of its Composite License, FuSure will broaden its insurance service offerings, delivering more comprehensive, flexible, and innovative products and risk management solutions. FuSure remains dedicated to empowering its clients and business partners, collaborating closely to drive sustained innovation and high-quality growth across the insurance industry in Hong Kong and globally,” the firm concluded.
