Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital has announced the appointment of Gabrielle Folliard from Canopius as Head of Claims, Global Markets.
Folliard’s new role includes leading the claims team for the company’s Global Markets division, overseeing all related operations.
She will also drive claims process improvements, ensuring they align with broader AXIS organisation strategies and goals.
Folliard will be reporting to Megan Watt, AXIS Capital Chief Claims Officer, who commented: “Gabby’s extensive experience in claims management and strong background in insurance legal practice will be critical as we continue to elevate the service we provide to our customers.”
Folliard is joining AXIS from Canopius, where she most recently served as Chief Claims Officer, a role she held for six years.
Before that, the executive was Head of Specialty and Financial Lines Claims at Markel International for over four years, following her close to seven year tenure at Beazley, where she served as Claims Manager.
