Gallagher has announced it has acquired Bridge Insurance Brokers Limited in the UK, a move that expands its real estate and construction capabilities.
The acquisition has already received regulatory approval. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Bridge, established in 1970, is a family-owned commercial insurance broker specialising in real estate, construction, corporate and private client insurance. The business has offices in Manchester and London and employs around 110 colleagues.
Following the acquisition, the current leadership team, CEO Roger Potts and directors Alex Cohen and Andre Backner, will continue in their roles, according to the announcement.
Bridge will be integrated into the commercial operations of Gallagher’s UK & Ireland Retail business, which focuses on addressing the insurance and risk management needs of mid-market organisations, leveraging the support of Gallagher’s office network across the UK.
