Gallagher, the global re/insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, has appointed Daniel Stewart to lead its Manchester-based specialist UK Trade Credit & Surety Practice.
Stewart has almost 20 years of specialist broking experience and joins Gallagher from Marsh, where he was a national practice leader for trade credit, responsible for the Midlands, North and Scotland.
In his new role, he will report to Tim Fisher, UK Managing Director of Trade Credit & Surety, and will focus on growing and developing Gallagher’s national practice across the North, where the broker sees growing client and business opportunities.
The announcement follows the appointments of Colin Cunningham and Rachel Smailes to the Manchester-based team in July, and Gallagher said that the move demonstrates its ongoing commitment to scaling up the practice and building out its specialist trade credit capabilities.

Gallagher’s Trade Credit & Surety Practice also has teams based in Manchester, Birmingham, Brierley Hill, Swindon and London.
