Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Andres Posada as Executive Vice President (EVP), Head of Sales for its Latin America and Caribbean region.
The position is based in Miami, with Posada reporting to Edson Wiggers, CEO of Latin America and the Caribbean. He will join the broker by the end of Q3.
Posada’s remit in the role will include being responsible for leading the region’s sales operations, driving revenue growth and continuing to strengthen Gallagher Re’s position in the reinsurance broking industry.
Posada brings nearly 15 years of industry experience. He joins Gallagher Re from Howden Insurance Brokers where he most recently served as LatAm Treaty Head for more than three years.
Earlier in his career, he served in multiple positions at JLT, starting as a Commercial Assistant, and then progressing within their treaty team to Senior Vice President for Colombia and Peru as their Head of Strategy and Senior Broker.
Posada also held positions as a Board member of Howden Re Colombia and of ACTER, the Colombian Reinsurance Association.
