Eduardo Molinari has left large European reinsurer Hannover Re after almost 25 years to take up a new role at reinsurance broker Gallagher Re, as Chairman of Iberia, effective September 1st, 2023.
Based in Madrid, Gallagher Re’s Iberian hub, Molinari will assist with the team’s expansion across the region as the reinsurance broker looks to bring together its global capabilities with both local knowledge and expertise.
The broker’s Iberian hub services clients across Spain and Portugal, forming part of the EMEA region.
Molinari joins from Hannover Re, where he most recently served as General Manager of Iberia, a role he held for almost 25 years. He joined the reinsurer in 1998 after spending the first 20 years of his career at reinsurance brokerage Reasyre, where he served as Managing Partner.
Bringing 45 years of reinsurance industry experience to the firm, Molinari joins the broker as it positions for growth in the region.
