Gallagher Re opens new Montreal branch

Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has opened a new branch in Montreal, Quebec, which will be led by recently appointed Executive Vice President, Isabelle LaPalme.

gallagher-re-logoLePalme brings over 25 years of experience within the Canadian insurance industry, holding positions within consulting, pricing and reserve actuary.

She is well known within the Quebec insurance community through her presence on the market since 1996.

She joins Gallagher Re from Aon, where she most recently served as Head of Brokerage Operations and Senior Vice President.

LePalme will lead the expansion of Gallagher Re in Quebec and the French-speaking insurance community, working closely with her Toronto colleagues as part of the team of 30 brokerage, actuarial and catastrophe modelling professionals at Gallagher Re in Canada.

The company has invested heavily in building a multidisciplinary team to support and serve its growing list of national clients, through the design of innovative reinsurance solutions.

As Executive Vice President and Branch Manager in Montreal, LePalme will be responsible for establishing and growing Gallagher Re’s local presence, as well as the continued and successful growth of the company’s Canadian operations.
