Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the promotion of Gina Butterworth to the position of Global Transformation Director.
With nearly three decades of experience in the industry, Butterworth is a seasoned senior executive known for her strong leadership and management skills. Her extensive background makes her well-equipped to excel in her new role.
Butterworth initially joined Gallagher Re’s executive production team in April 2023 as Senior Director, later advancing to the position of Chief Operating Officer before her recent promotion.
Prior to joining Gallagher Re, Butterworth served as the Director of Underwriting at Nephila Syndicate Management Limited for nearly five years. In this role, she oversaw portfolio management and performance for a significant property catastrophe and climate syndicate, as well as managing a newly established specialty lines active follow syndicate.
Throughout her career, Butterworth has held various leadership positions at esteemed firms such as ERS, Overlanding, London Market Group, and notably Chaucer Syndicates Limited, where she served for 11 years.
