Global insurance and reinsurance broker, Lockton, has announced the appointment of Gareth Davies, formerly Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JLT Bermuda, as Senior Vice President (SVP), Property, Bermuda.
Davies has more than 20 years of property broker experience in Bermuda, and has expertise in facultative reinsurance as well as alternative property solutions. Prior to Lockton he was CEO at JLT Bermuda, and prior to this was Head of RK Harrison Bermuda.
Lockton Bermuda’s Managing Director, Philip DiMeglio, commented; “We’re pleased to have Gareth join our growing Bermuda team. He’s a strong addition to Lockton’s international placement, and our clients will benefit from his expertise, particularly in light of the recent catastrophic losses from storms, earthquakes and fires.”
In his new role, Davies will focus on expanding the business, with special attention in the property space, which is expected to be challenging over the next few years.
