Generali (GC&C) appoints trio to senior underwriting roles

Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C), a subsidiary of the Italian insurance giant, has announced the appointment of Reto Arrigoni as Global Head of Casualty Underwriting.

generaliAt the same time, Enrico Mazza has been named as GC&C Italy Head of Underwriting and Tomasz Kukuła as ACEER (Austria, Central and Eastern Europe, and Russia) Regional Head of Underwriting.

Formerly GC&C Italy Head of Underwriting, Arrigoni will now report directly to global Head of Underwriting Hayden Seach.

Arrigoni has over two decades of experience in the insurance sector and joined GC&C in 2014. Previously, he worked for Zurich in Switzerland, US, UK and for XL Insurance Co. in Switzerland.

Previously ACEER Regional Head of Underwriting, Mazza will now be responsible for ensuring the profitability of the GC&C Italy portfolios, as well as the underwriting strategy for the various Lines of Business. He will report directly to country Head of GC&C Italy Franco Franzoso.

Mazza joined Generali Group in Toro Assicurazioni in 2004, initially in the Claims Department and then in the Engineering Underwriting Line of Business.

In 2008 he moved to Generali CEE Holding in the Czech Republic before coming back to Italy with more than fifteen years of corporate insurance experience.

Finally, as GC&C ACEER Regional Head of Underwriting, Kukuła will report directly to Regional Head of Global Corporate & Commercial ACEER Samuele Borghi.

Kukuła previously served as Head of GC&C Underwriting at Generali Poland, and has over two decades of underwriting experience in the corporate and commercial insurance sector, specializing in underwriting governance and management of P&C large risks portfolio.

Prior to joining Generali, held held the position of Engineering Head of Underwriting in Allianz Poland and various positions connected with underwriting in the insurance and brokerage industries.
