Generali Group has appointed Bruno Scaroni to new group strategy and business accelerator director, with effect from July 1st 2017.
Generali Group CEO Philippe Donnet, said; “I am very glad to welcome Bruno Scaroni. Thanks to his experience in different fields of the insurance sector, he will contribute to the acceleration of the process of transformation and development of the company.
“I would like also to thank Gian Paolo Meloncelli for his outstanding contribution to the company. I wish him the best for his future endeavors.”
In March 2013 Scaroni joined Generalli Group, working first as Chief Distribution Officer before becoming Chief Executive Officer of Europe Assistance Italy in December 2014.
Scaroni will succeed outgoing accelerator director, Gian Paolo Meloncelli, who is leaving the group to pursue new professional opportunities.
Business transformation is vital for insurers and reinsurers in the current competitive environment, where legacy business models are being proven inefficient and InsurTech developments bring new competitors into the fray, meaning re/insurers need to keep ahead of these changes to remain viable.
