Generali’s Lombard elected Chairman of EcoFin Committee, Insurance Europe

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Generali France, Eric Lombard, has been elected Chairman of the Economic & Finance (EcoFin) Committee of Insurance Europe, replacing Dieter Wemmer.

The EcoFin division of Insurance Europe oversees the organisations work on regulatory, accounting and investment-related issues, and it’s been revealed that Allianz SE Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Wemmer, is to be replaced by Lombard.

Lombard was appointed Chairman and CEO of Generali France in June of last year, and has been a member of the Group Management Committee of Generali since October 2013. Lombard is also Chairman of the Board of Europ Assistance Holding and a member of Federation Francaise de l’Assurance (FFA), as well as Chairman of the Universite de l’Assurance and Chairman of the strategic council of ESC Troyes Group, explains Generali.

Since the end of 2014, he has also been an administrator of BPI France and President of Audit and Risks Committee.
