Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Gianluca Panzanaro as Executive Director of its business in Italy, where he will play a key role in developing new relationships to enhance the Italian team.
In his new position, Panzanaro will focus on providing tailored solutions as exceptional service to the company’s current Italian clients.
A re/insurance professional with over ten years of experience in the industry, Panzanaro is joining Gallagher Re Italy after almost eight years at Generali, where he most recently served as Senior P&C Treaty Reinsurance Manager (Property, Parametric, Agriculture).
The executive has held positions in various international companies throughout his career, covering several roles such as Broker, Underwriter, Product Developer and Reinsurance Manager.
During his time at Allianz, Panzanaro served as International Underwriter – Product Developer (Mobility, Travel & Assistance and Health).
Prior to this he was part of AIG, where he joined as Global Talent Professional Associate – Commercial Property Underwriting, and was then appointed Commercial Property Underwriter.
