Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has appointed Grant Hollyman as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Australia & New Zealand, based in the firm’s Sydney office, Reinsurance News understands.
Hollyman will join Gallagher Re from Aon in April 2026 following his notice period. At Aon, he most recently served as Casualty Leader, Asia Pacific at Aon Reinsurance Australia, based in Sydney.
He brings decades of industry experience to the role, joining Aon Benfield (now Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions) in 2011 as Head of Casualty for Australia and New Zealand.
Before Aon, he held the same role at Marsh’s reinsurance arm, Guy Carpenter, for six years, and prior to this, had some 16 years of insurance and reinsurance underwriting experience.
Hollyman takes over at the helm of Gallagher Re Australia & New Zealand from Heather Bone, who left the broker at the end of last year, having held the regional CEO role since May 2022.
