Greenlight Re Innovations, a division of specialist hedge fund-backed property and casualty reinsurer Greenlight Capital Re, has made a strategic investment in specialist travel managing general agent, Battleface, Inc.
Battleface specialises in insurance services for travel to remote, unstable or dangerous parts of the world. The company’s tech-driven platform is designed to service a growing number of contractors, explorers, journalists, humanitarian workers, freelancers and similar who are underserved by traditional insurance solutions.
The Battleface platform is supported by a network of 24/7 assistance coordinators, medical providers and also on-the-ground agents who provide emergency claims, medical and travel assistance services across the globe.
The firm states that its platform develops bespoke and white-label products through an API-based distribution system, which keeps policies and allows for extra options in services, benefits and also pricing.
