Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has appointed AXIS Re’s Les Loh as deputy chief executive of Southeast Asia and Korea.
Loh will join Guy Carpenter in October and will continue to be based in Singapore.
He will also report to Bengt Johnsen – CEO of Southeast Asia and Korea at Guy Carpenter.
Within this new role, Loh will be involved in delivering reinsurance solutions to Guy Carpenter’s clients across the regions covered, as well as also developing new client relationships too.
Overall, Loh brings over 20 years of reinsurance sector experience towards the role. He Guy Carpenter after a period of gardening leave following his departure from reinsurer AXIS Re in June.
During his tenure at AXIS Re, Loh served in a variety of senior roles, including President of the Asia Pacific region, and Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer of the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to that, he spent seven years serving as a Senior broker at Benfield.
