It’s been announced that both Trevor Ormes and Florence Mognetti have joined Hamilton Managing Agency, the Lloyd’s of London operations of Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer, Hamilton Insurance Group.
Ormes joins as Deputy Active Underwriter of Syndicate 4000 and Head of Professional Lines, while Mognetti has been appointed as Head of Political Risk.
The two new senior hires will report to Miles Osorio, Active Underwriter of Lloyd’s Syndicate 4000. Based in London, Ormes is expected to join the company later in 2021, with Mognetti set to start on January 18th.

Ormes brings 35 years of experience in the industry to Hamilton, having served at Chubb in London for the past two decades, most recently as Head of Financial Lines. Prior to Chubb, he spent two years as a PI underwriter at Lloyd’s Syndicate SVB. Previously, he worked at re/insurance broker Aon in London for ten years in the Professional Services Group.
Mognetti brings 24 years of experience in the political risk space to Hamilton, most recently serving as Divisional Head of Political Risk at Acappella Syndicate 2014, where she worked for six years. Prior to this, she served as Head of UK Market, Transactional Cover Unit with Euler Hermes. Earlier in her career, Mognetti worked at Coface for 14 years, where she initially trained in Paris, before becoming Political Risk Director, London and Paris.
