Hamilton Underwriting appoints Robert Vetch as CFO

Hamilton Underwriting Limited, the managing agency of Syndicate 3334 and the Lloyd’s operations of Hamilton Insurance Group, has appointed Robert Vetch as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

robert-vetchVetch joins Hamilton Underwriting from W.R. Berkley Corporation, where he spent the previous nine years as CFO for WRB Underwriting.

He has also worked as Finance Business Partner at Brit Global Markets, before which he spent seven years at QBE Insurance Group and four years at PwC, where he specialised in insurance and investment management.

As CFO for Hamilton Underwriting, Vetch succeeds Simon Barrett, who left Hamilton in December 2018 to pursue opportunities outside the company.

Vetch will now report to Dermot O’Donohoe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hamilton Underwriting, who commented: “It’s my pleasure to welcome Rob to the Hamilton team. We pride ourselves on attracting some of the best talent in the business, and Rob falls squarely into that category.
