Global reinsurer Hannover Re has announced the appointment of Sven Wilhelmsen as General Manager.
In his new role, Wilhelmsen will lead the global L&H digital solutions portfolio, shaping strategic roadmaps and ensuring efficient, value-focused delivery and adoption across Hannover Re’s markets, clients, and internal user communities.
He brings more than 15 years of experience across Europe, Asia, and the US, specialising in digital product management, portfolio leadership, and global transformation programmes.
Wilhelmsen joins Hannover Re from Continental, where he most recently served as Global Head of Digital Product, leading a global digital product portfolio and shaping its strategy, as well as driving the development of integrated digital solutions and platforms.
Prior to that, he built up and managed a start-up for automatic lawn mower accessories, and also held roles at beyerdynamic and Sennheiser.
