HDI Global SE UK & Ireland has appointed Phil Healy to lead the firm’s Motor Fleet underwriting division, effective immediately.
Healy’s appointment is effective immediately, he takes over from John Shepherd who retires from HDI this month after 10 years of service.
In the role, Healy will report directly to Stephanie Ogden, Managing Director, UK & Ireland.
Overall, Healy brings over 30 years of Motor Fleet insurance experience towards the role.
Healy joined HDI in June 2020 as Motor Fleet Team Leader following time at Aon – where he served as a placing broker in the UK & Ireland facultative Motor Reinsurance team.
Prior to Aon, Healy spent three years serving at Aviva as a Senior Motor Underwriting Manager, and before that, he spent eight years serving as Head of Motor Fleet Placement at WTW.
Healy began his career in the industry at RSA, where he spent 16 years serving as a Motor Fleet Underwriter.

John’s knowledge of and influence in the Motor Fleet insurance sector cannot be overstated, and it is a privilege to be taking over from him in this role.
