HDI has announced its Distribution and Marketing teams of its UK & Irish operations, HDI Global SE and HDI Global Specialty SE, are being brought together under one team.
The move will come into effect January 1, 2023.
HDI has appointed Oliver Davies to lead the new team as Director of Distribution & Marketing, where he will report to Stephanie Ogden, Managing Director, HDI Global SE UK & Ireland.
Additionally, all broker strategic relationship managers from both businesses will now report directly to Davies.
Davies previously served as Head of Distribution for HDI Global SE UK and Ireland. Within that role, his main responsibilities included the strategic development and execution of market strategies across broker channels and leading the delivery of the Marketing strategy, while also supporting a number of global projects too.
Before joining HDI, Davies spent 15 years at Allianz serving in a variety of management roles across Distribution, Actuarial, Portfolio management and Underwriting.
Davies, commented: “I am delighted to be taking on this new role at what is an important time for our business. The new structure will streamline our ability to manage our trading relationships in the UK and Ireland and will allow us to deploy risk capital where our clients need our expertise.”
HDI also noted that it plans to appoint a Head of Marketing to lead the marketing activity across the entire UK & Ireland business.
Meanwhile, John Button will continue to serve in his current role as Head of Global Distribution and Business Development for HDI Global Specialty SE with a focus on branches outside of the UK & Ireland. He will continue to report into HDI UK & Ireland CEO Richard Taylor in his role as Board Member and Chief Marketing Officer for HDI Global Specialty SE.
