HDI Global appoints new branch office leader in Greece

HDI Global has announced that Konstantinos Semertzoglou will take over the executive management of its Greece branch office following the retirement of Notis Vagiakakos, who led the branch successfully for nearly two decades.

HDI Global logoSemertzoglou is set to join the Greek office on the 1st of April, whereupon Vagiakakos will assist him in a transitional period to enable a smooth handover.

On the 1st of July 2023, subject to approval by the responsible regulatory authorities, Semertzoglou will take over the leadership of the Greek branch and Vagiakakos will act as a consultant thereafter.

Semertzoglou joins HDI Global from Groupama Asfalistiki, where he served as Commercial Director, responsible for the entire sales network and customer service.

Throughout his two-and-a-half-decade career, he has held a variety of positions in the Greek insurance industry, all the while building strong relations with a large network of mid-market brokers.

Commenting on his new role, Semertzoglou said, “I am delighted to join HDI Global and to play my part in ensuring that the mid-market strategy is successfully implemented. The segment promises many opportunities both for HDI as well as for our clients and partners.
