Industrial lines insurer HDI Global Specialty has announced that from April 1 and subject to the approval of the responsible regulatory authorities, Etienne de Varax will be taking over temporary management of their France branch.
This comes after the company announced that Managing Director Florence Louppe has left the insurer to take up new career challenges elsewhere. The company said that Louppe left at her own request and that it was done on the best of mutual terms.
In a statement they said: “The company would like to thank Florence Louppe for her successful work over the past years and wishes her every success in her future career and all the best in her private life.”
The company also added that The Management Board are working on a succession plan.
Etienne has worked for HDI Global for 15 years. Currently he is a local management team member of the France branch, as well as the Director of Art, Legal-Tax-Compliance & Claims. According to his LinkedIn page Etienne has previously served as the branch’s Offer & Services Director, as well as its Casualty, Marine, Motor Fleet and Art Director too.
Prior to his time at HDI Global, Etienne worked in various roles at AON, the GAN Group and AIG.
