HDI Global strengthens US Credit and Political Risk operations with Amy Shinkman appointment

Corporate and specialty insurer HDI Global (HDI), a provider of commercial insurance and risk management solutions for businesses worldwide, has appointed Amy Shinkman as Credit and Political Risk Lead for its US operations.

HDI Global logoIn the newly created role, Shinkman will be based in Washington, DC, where she will oversee the continued expansion of HDI Global’s credit and political risk business across the US market.

HDI Global said she will work in close partnership with multilateral organisations, financial institutions, public sector bodies and insurance brokers to further strengthen the company’s offering in this specialist segment.

Shinkman joins the business with 25 years of experience in global credit and political risk underwriting. Throughout her career, she has led specialist teams, developed tailored solutions for clients and supported long-term, profitable business growth.

Prior to joining HDI Global, Shinkman was Vice President of Export Credit Insurance at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), where she managed the organisation’s export credit insurance portfolio. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of underwriting and leadership roles at AIG and Atradius, gaining international experience while based in both London and Singapore.
