Augment Risk, a risk capital and reinsurance solutions broker, has appointed Magnus Heimann as Partner for MGA, effective immediately.

He will develop the firm’s European MGA presence, partnering with coverholders, capacity providers, and reinsurers to deliver capital-aligned program solutions that strengthen long-term enterprise value for MGA clients.

This appointment aims to strengthen Augment Risk’s commitment to building a capital-oriented MGA practice connecting programme businesses, carriers, and investors through a single advisory lens.

In his new role, Heimann will build a unified European footprint and advance Augment’s strategy of supporting program businesses through full-stack structuring, disciplined capital partnerships, and access to global markets.

Heimann has over 25 years of experience across underwriting, hybrid fronting, program management, and the broader MGA ecosystem. Most recently, he served as Chief Underwriting Officer and Executive Director for Accredited Europe.

He has built and led businesses across the United Kingdom, Europe, and international markets, which have shown sustainable growth, strong underwriting results, and delivery of complex strategic initiatives.

Augment Risk believes that the European MGA sector has reached a new stage of scale and sophistication, as indigenous MGAs and global program platforms are seeking capital-aligned growth, product expansion, and multi-jurisdiction execution.

The market provides a “core opportunity” for value creation, where program businesses benefit from transparent capital engagement, improved alignment across the value chain, and repeatable structuring frameworks.
