Hive Aero appoints new Class Underwriter

London-headquartered MGA Hive Aero has announced the appointment of Will Gaunt as Class Underwriter, effective immediately.

Gaunt will be responsible for the firms’ Aviation Hull War account, alongside Chief Underwriting Officer, Bruce Carman.

With 12 years’ experience in the aviation market, Gaunt joins Hive Aero from Talbot Underwriting where served as Class Underwriter for the General Aviation book since 2009. Prior to joining Talbot, Gaunt worked at XL Group.

Commenting on his new role, Gaunt said, “I am excited to join Hive Aero and look forward to helping grow the business.

“The opportunity to assist in developing the highly analytical capacity offered by Hive Aero in this niche market is very appealing.”

CUO of Hive Aero, Bruce Carman, added, “I am delighted to welcome Will to Hive Aero and very much look forward to working closely with him. His knowledge and relationships within the aviation sector will be a huge asset to us.”
