Global insurance and reinsurance broker Howden has appointed Peter Steiner as Executive Director, Agriculture & Nature Parametrics.
Steiner joins Howden after nine years at Syngenta, where he began in May 2016 as Global Financial Solutions Manager.
He is the owner and creator of AgriClime Risk Management and the AgriClime finance/credit systems, and most recently served as Global Head of Weather and Credit Risk Management (AgriClime) at Syngenta.
Prior to that, Steiner spent eight years at CelsiusPro, where he was a Start-up Manager / Prokurist, responsible for international sales of CelsiusPro’s weather derivative products to direct clients and third parties.
Earlier in his career, he also worked at Löwenfonds AG for over a year.
