Global insurance broker Howden has announced a significant leadership transition for Howden Asia, appointing Alaric Lee as Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong, and Alfred Sham as Chief Strategy Officer, Asia.
Lee currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer, Asia, and will assume his new role on 1st July 2026.
He brings more than a decade of market expertise and strong industry relationships in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Howden, he spent 15 years at Marsh, most recently as Managing Director, Asia Corporate and Commercial Leader, Marsh Asia.
Sham brings more than 20 years of industry experience spanning M&A, strategy, and leadership across Asia.
He has spent the past 13 years at Howden and has served as CEO, Hong Kong, for the last two years, during which the office doubled in size. He will relocate to Singapore to take on a broader regional remit as Chief Strategy Officer, Asia.
In his new role, Sham will focus on advancing Howden’s growth ambitions through new initiatives, expansion into new markets, and strategic acquisitions.
