Howden Re, the reinsurance arm of Howden, has announced the appointment of Thomas Kroely as Managing Director, Continental Europe.
In his new role, Kroely will initially focus on supporting Howden Re’s European expansion, with plans to build a local team following the completion of contractual commitments next year.
Tobias Andersson, Head of Continental Europe, Howden Re International, expressed his enthusiasm for Kroely’s appointment, stating, “It is with great pleasure that we announce that Thomas will be joining our team. His outstanding track record and deep expertise make him an invaluable addition as we expand our footprint in Europe.

Kroely joins Howden Re from Aon, where he served as Client Reinsurance Director. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Willis Re, most recently as Head of France/Belgium/Luxembourg. Kroely has also held roles at Generali France and Brit Insurance.
