Reinsurance broker Howden Re has appointed Thomas Fitzgerald as Head of Global Client Relations and Vice Chair.
In his new role, Fitzgerald will lead global client and reinsurer relations, focusing on client engagement and market innovation. He will work to deepen relationships, enhance placement strategies, and strengthen collaboration to improve outcomes for clients and reinsurers alike.
Fitzgerald brings more than 30 years of experience across the global insurance and brokerage industry.
He joins Howden Re from World Insurance Associates, where he served as President of Retail Business. Before that, he was President of Specialty & Commercial at QBE North America.
Fitzgerald also spent nearly 30 years at Aon, where he served as CEO of Aon Risk Solutions, leading Aon’s global broking platform and, prior to that, he led Aon’s U.S. Retail operations.
