Howden Tiger, the reinsurance broking arm of Howden, has appointed Karl Marshall as the Head of Advisory and Analytics, Asia Pacific (APAC), where he will work closely with the firm’s Strategic Advisory and Analytics team.
His remit in the new role will include developing the catastrophe and actuarial analytics build-out and strategy across APAC.
Additionally, he will also work with clients across the region, advising on reinsurance and capital solutions designed to help optimise earnings and capital in support of business strategy.

Marshall brings over 30 years pf actuarial experience to the role. He has been advising boards and management teams on a range of matters, including strategy, capital, reinsurance, reserving, pricing, and risk appetite for the last two decades.
Most recently, Marshall served as the Group Chief Actuary at QBE for the last five years. Previously, he led the insurance consulting & analytics practice at Quantium for over a decade.
