Howden Tiger Fac, a broking division of Howden Tiger, has appointed Sandy Warne as the head of its Terrorism & Political Violence division.

With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Warne has previously held various roles specializing in Terrorism & Political Violence with companies such as Munich Re Syndicate, Navigators, JLT, and Inigo.

In her new role, Warne will lead the Terrorism & Political Violence division at Howden Tiger Fac, building on the success of the existing team. The appointment of Warne is a significant step for the company towards achieving its ambitious growth targets.

Howden Tiger Fac recently completed the Howden Tiger transaction on January 9, 2023, with a combined reinsurance revenue of almost $400 million. The company serves as a strategic advisor for clients through its core specialisms of Facultative, MGA, Treaty, Capital Markets, and Analytics.

“We have achieved strong growth across the Terrorism & Political Violence sector, and attracting someone of Sandy’s calibre to lead this talented team is a remarkable testament to the success of the division. The combination of Sandy’s technical underwriting skills and deep market knowledge will be of significant value as we grow our business and continue to enhance the expertise our clients receive. I look forward to welcoming her to the team,” commenting on the appointment, Gordon Craig, President of Howden Tiger Fac, said.

Warne, on the other hand, expressed her excitement in joining a company that has not only witnessed impressive growth in recent years but also has employee ownership and a “People First” approach at its core. She stated that Howden Tiger Fac’s recent expansion and exceptional client service have made a clear impression on the market, and she is looking forward to working with the team.
