Specialty property and casualty (P&C) insurer IAT Insurance Group has appointed Mark Westmoreland as Managing Director for its Assumed Reinsurance division.
Prior to joining IAT, Westmoreland was at Munich Re for over 17 years, holding the position of Senior Vice President and Regional Property Underwriting Manager as well as Property Reinsurance Underwriter.
His other roles included Actuary & Director and Actuarial Analyst, where he was responsible for pricing reinsurance transactions for National & Regional clients.
He has a military background and was previously a Lieutenant for the US Navy.
His new role takes place effective immediately.
