ICA welcomes Paul Fahey to its Board as non-exec director

24th May 2024 - Author: Kassandra Jimenez-Sanchez

Paul Fahey, Chief Executive Officer of Hollard Holdings Australia and its insurer subsidiaries, has been appointed as a non-executive director of The Board of the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).

ica-insurance-council-australia-logoFahey, who joined Hollard in 2016 and was previously the CEO of Hollard’s Personal Lines business, will fill the vacancy that arose as a result of the resignation of Hollard’s founder and former CEO Richard Enthoven.

Enthoven had been part of the ICA Board for more than a decade and over that time served as both President and Deputy President.

Fahey’s appointment was made at the ICA’s Annual General Meeting earlier this week, where it was also announced IAG CEO Nick Hawkins’ term as President of the ICA Board to end on 31 December 2024.

The ICA Board will elect the new President at its June 2024 Board meeting.

Commenting on the news, Hawkins said: “I am pleased to welcome Paul to the ICA Board. Paul brings with him a breadth of knowledge and experience of the insurance industry that will be invaluable to the Board.

“I also recognise the long and committed service that Richard Enthoven has provided to the ICA as he steps down from the Board after 10 years. As a former ICA President and Deputy President, Richard has played a key role in our industry for a long time.”
