ICW Group Insurance Companies, a group of property and casualty carriers, has announced the promotion of John Novak to President. His remit will include leading the company’s multi-line growth strategy, expanding its value-added service offerings and driving the company’s digital transformation.
Along with serving as President, Novak, an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in insurance, will continue his role as Chief Operating Officer.
As the COO he has been championing the organization’s more than 1,000 team members at multiple offices across the nation that serve policyholders and agents for its workers’ compensation, assumed reinsurance, catastrophe, surety and newly launched commercial package lines of business.
Kevin Prior, the company’s Chief Executive Officer commented, “Since joining ICW Group nearly six years ago, John has played a pivotal role in taking our business to the next level. He has guided the evolution of our business strategy, including our vision of becoming a top-tier, multi-line insurance carrier. He has also led and collaborated on solutions to some of our biggest legacy transformations, all while establishing new company capabilities to ultimately drive our digital objectives. John is primed to take us further, and I’m excited about ICW Group’s future and continued success.”
Novak joined ICW Group in 2017 as chief operating and strategic execution officer. Since he came on board, ICW Group has seen significant financial gains and the expansion of the company’s lines of business, including the development and rapid growth of its assumed reinsurance business and the recent launch of ICW Group’s commercial package business encompassing general liability and commercial property.
